There is sign up and login system for this application. This project makes a convenient way for the admin to keep the records of projects in a proper way. About Simple Chat System Project in PHP Language
This is a simple chat system with list of chat rooms available for you to get in touch with other participants. You can use the sign up form to create an account. After signing up, use the login panel to log into your account. You can find admin chat room, free entry chat room and also add your own customized chat room.
While creating chatroom, you can customize the name and password for your chat room. This feature will help you control the entry of unauthorized participants. All the chatrooms are available in the lobby section. Also, you can upload your profile picture or avatar. For admin access, use the username “admin” and password “admin”. From the admin section you can monitor the users, chatrooms and many more.
How To Run Simple Chat Project in PHP language?
To run this project, you must have installed a virtual server i.e. XAMPP on your PC (for Windows). After Starting Apache and MySQL in XAMPP, follow the following steps.
- Extract file
- Copy the main project folder
- Paste in xampp/htdocs/
- Open a browser and go to URL “http://localhost/phpmyadmin/”
- Then, click on the databases tab
- Create a database naming “chat_system” and then click on the import tab
- Click on browse file and select “chat_system.sql” file
- Click on go.
After Creating Database,
- Open a browser and go to URL “http://localhost/chat_system”
